Again, for tge record, these images are clever depictions made from emissions detected by it, thermal, magnetic and perhaps other novel systems attached to airplanes via gimballed equipment that move track and articulate independently of the aircraft. So, think in at least 3d, perhaps 4d, an emitter moving or existing based on natural forces(think ball lightning, an ion plasma etc) and an airplane moving on a different altitude, attitude bearing and velocity. The sensor tracks abstractly the emitter, the plane flies at the pilots command and the emitter does whatever it does based on natural phenomena.

Is bet watching that would make you dizzy and confused, as the norm would be to assume all things in the air fly as you do. Except none other than things with wings perform aerodynamically.... The Enterprise of Captain Kirk does not bank and swoop like Star Trek depicts.

Why the autopilot leap to “alien” when there is no evidence to lead anyone with a rational mind that way?

Yeah, they were busy doing that also back in the 1300s according to many paintings from the Middle Ages and according to Christopher Columbus’ diary. Those old time Europeans probably stole the technology from the Romans, who stole it from the Greeks, who stole it from the Ancient Egyptians, who stole it from ...
