The classic “Brady Bunch” television show is being revamped for a special episode involving television personalities from “RuPaul’s Drag Race.”
Described by “Today” as “the wholesome suburban family meets drag queen crossover we never knew we needed,” the special Paramount+ event will be named “Dragging the Classics: The Brady Bunch” and was announced on Wednesday.
According to “Today,” “Five of the original ‘Brady’ kids (Barry Williams, Christopher Knight, Mike Lookinland, Eve Plumb and Susan Olsen) will be joining ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ favorites to re-create the episode ‘Will the Real Jan Brady Please Stand Up?’”
The Hollywood Reporter noted that the “special promises to ‘make and break pop culture history’ as it reunites The Brady Bunch original cast members alongside RuPaul’s Drag Race favorites as they recreate the 1971 episode…The event will use ‘state-of-the-art technology to transport the cast into the original Brady house.’”
The show is meant to be a celebration of “Pride” month when LGBTQ+ rights and issues take center-stage in the United States via corporate promotions and entertainment events during the month of June.

Aren’t most of the people who watched Brady Bunch pretty old now? Why would they want to see the gay crap and most of the gays are too young to remember Brady Bunch.
I recall the reunion in 2004 on TV Land.
Those freaks screw up everything they get involved with. RuPaul does too.
These freaks are everywhere on Tv, movies, any kind of entertainment viewing. But then that gives them the attention they crave. Being center of attention is vital for most....I flip everything when they come on. Not the least bit interested in watching the freaks.
I dont know how Larry gets away with it but glad he does, he makes politically incorrect wisecracks and asides on his show all the time. He was at a military shooting range trying to split the coin, and dropped an off-color joke that even made the sgt wince.
I know Olsen fairly well. I’m surprised she’s even remotely interested in doing this.
As much as I usually celebrate Brady Bunch reunions, I think U’ll skip this one.
I really enjoyed them working together with the Property Brothers of HGTV to recreate the interior of their iconic TV house a while back—and rather remember them in a much more positive light.
Bravo to Maureen/Marsha for opting out of this disgrace.
