Well, he could have avoided this whole mess by putting the guy in the squad car and taking him to the pokey. Instead, in these racially charged times, he CHOSE to spend 9 minutes playing the badass while being videoed. As some here like to say, play stupid games, win stupid prizes. I don’t feel sorry for him. He ramped up all kinds of civil unrest and crime and assaults and some people, including cops, are dead because of this kind of crap.

He refused to get/stay in the squad car and demanded to be put on the ground. Floyd would’ve O.D.’d en route to the station had he been in the squad car and Chauvin still would’ve been crucified for it.

They tried yo put Floyd in a squad car for a number of minutes, while he fought them.

Finally, claiming he couldn't breathe, they layed him on the ground, as Floyd asked and called EMS.

Chauvin's knee on Floyd's neck was an approved technique to control a suspect.

It allowed one officer to control a much larger and out of control subject.

It also keeps the perp from bashing his head off the concrete, which is common in Excited Delerium.

It was alsp proven that he did not kneel in Floyd's neck for 9 minutes.

Chauvin was the senior officer and 2 or 3 of the others were rookies.

He couldn't be tied up wrestling on the ground with a much larger Floyd while in the middle of a growing and hostile crowd that was threatening violence.
