Mohammad Noor was a black Minneapolis police officer who was convicted of killing a white woman named Justine Damond. Damond had called to report a possible rape in her neighborhood. She was outside her home. She was not being arrested, nor charged with anything.
Noor got 12 1/2 years.
Derek Chauvin was a white Minneapolis police officer who was convicted of killing a black man named George Floyd. Floyd was being arrested and had large amounts of drugs in his system (none of which justifies killing him.)
Chauvin got 22 1/2 years.
See the difference?
He refused to get/stay in the squad car and demanded to be put on the ground. Floyd would’ve O.D.’d en route to the station had he been in the squad car and Chauvin still would’ve been crucified for it.
Must be that White privilege we keep hearing about.
That’s less than 10 yrs in actual time, at most.
And there’s a bucket of material for appeal.
I sincerely hope the town in which this farce trial was staged is burned to the very ground by BLM. They deserve it. And I hope that Keith Ellison’s home is burned to the ground by the same wonderful folks. He deserves it. With him still in it for his perfidy.

No. The best he can hope for is only serving 2/3rds - the 199 days he has already spent in custody. 15 years and 1 month approx.
The federal trial may add more time to that.
Legally he did. His sentence was within the state guidelines for the offense of which he was convicted.
In other words, The Law is an Ass.
