BTW, she wants to take something other than Lithium because it makes her feel drunk. There are other drugs, ya know.

Let her take what works well for her.

You believe everything her crooked @ss family says.

They have taken complete advantage of the situation.

Her father needs to stop living off his daughter.

There is a balancing act with drugs. Lithium is a nasty drug but necessary for some.

The court has the choice to give her freedom over her personhood but keep control over her finances.

She has enough to fly on a private plane to hawaii right now.

Like i said..i dont know her details. But the Judge does. Whatever the details are.. She needed someone to handle her. And still does. If she doesnt want her father it can be independent.

You dont know that.. He is entitled to compensation for dealing with all of this. As will the independent person that Britney says she wants.

Be careful what you wish for..when i threw my hands up and said “NO MORE” ..the person i was responsible for did not find grass was greener on the other side...but too late..i wanted no part of it again.

Story is more difficult when it is a child

Although the opinion was never formally overturned, in a 1942 case, Skinner v. Oklahoma, which challenged forced sterilization of certain convicted criminals, Justice William O. Douglas, writing for a unanimous court, said that the right to procreate was fundamental. “Any experiment the state conducts is to his irreparable injury,” he wrote. “He is forever deprived of a basic liberty.”

While Ms. Spears has not been sterilized, Ms. Crawford said, if she is being prevented from getting her IUD removed, that would be a proxy for sterilization, in particular because she testified that she wanted to bear more children.

Melissa Murray, who teaches reproductive rights and constitutional law at N.Y.U. law school, pointed to another unnerving element in the allegation by Ms. Spears, who, at 39, has been under her father’s guardianship for 13 years. Ms. Murray said that Ms. Spears, an adult, appeared to be living a legally constructed childhood.

“It’s unusual that her father is making the kinds of decisions we’d expect a parent to make for a teenager,” she added.

Every adult has the right to crash and burn.

Her father is a leech.

Stupid comment by Cruz. If she is freed of this conservatorship and her loser boyfriend marries and impregnates her, he will take her to the cleaners (like ex number one did and does). Where will Cruz be when that happens?

Oops! He did it again.

This situation has no impact on ANYTHING and should be ignored by well meaning, but uninformed fans and watchers. You just don’t know what the mentally incapacitated, bald wonder will do next....Don’t even TRY to guess. Just run away from this hot mess and let others deal with it.

She is not competent to manage her affairs but let her blow it all. Her best earning years are gone.

This is not a very good post is it?
So you are gonna but Mike Tyson and all them black NFL, NBA etc players who have blown their monies into conservatorship too?
What of the millions of Americans who have declared bankruptcy?

According to The New York Times, Jamie Spears makes a salary of some $192,000 a year for running the conservatorship.

By contrast, the Times says, Spears was given a $2,000 weekly budget while doing a very successful four-year residency in Las Vegas that reportedly grossed close to $138 million.)

Britney was crashing and burning...the court disagrees with you

The question is has she righted herself enough to get back control over her life.

I would give her back her personhood but not finances and see what she does with it.

Her boyfriend is angling for a federline set up..you can see it a mile away. It wont end well but i would let her have the right to muck it up...

Stupid comment by Cruz.

Smart comment by Ted Cruz, who knows a heck of a lot more about the law than you do.

If she is freed of this conservatorship and her loser boyfriend marries and impregnates her, he will take her to the cleaners (like ex number one did and does). Where will Cruz be when that happens?

Are you going to tell Mike Tyson and the millions of Americans who have declared bankruptcy before that too?

If not for Britney, her father would be flipping burgers... and he knows it.

His daughter wants NOTHING to do with him.

In fact, she says he should be in jail.

Clueless. This doesn’t help advance anything that Cruz deals with and if it goes “south” on him, he will pay the price for NOTHING. That is why it is a stupid comment. So, you think the judge involved knows nothing about the law too? Wow.

She certainly wouldn’t be the first woman or man taken to the cleaners.

I mean, how ridiculous can you be?

Are you married? Whose approval did you have to get?

The court has to approve his fees.

Just wait until she sees how much it will cost her to have someone not her Dad deal with her messiness.

She would gladly pay it.

Again. Who had to approve your marriage before you could tie the knot?

I don’t recall anyone having to approve the marriages of Liz Taylor or Larry King.

You don’t think King got taken to the cleaners?

This is an interesting point.

I'm curious to hear Jamie's (Britney's Father's) response to the court. We've heard Britneys.

One thing that did concern me about her list of grievances was that many of them potentially had to do with a benefit to her long term boyfriend. (i.e. marriage, having babies, control of her finances.). Which--if she hasn't been bamboozled by a money hungry guy looking to get his big payout from a future marriage and possible future child support if there is a divorce--great.

But I do hope this is not where this complaint, by Britney, is coming from. She already does not care full time for her 2 boys with Federline.

I do hope she has it in her to manage the independent life she spoke of and not instead be used by other people who are intending to rob her.

Curious how Jamie's testimony changes anything or not. In the interim. What a sad situation all around. She is talented and hard working--mental health issues or not. And seems to be a sweet mother to her boys as best she can be.
