Obviously, I don’t want to speak ill of the dead. But, I do think it’s important for posterity to point out that in her work as a doctoral candidate in criminology, she published an academic paper asserting that America’s criminal justice system was hopelessly racist incarcerating people mostly because of their race.

She, of course, ended up being murdered by a black man with a prodigious criminal history.

Kimchi went to Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School in Montgomery County and continued to advance through her academic career to become a doctoral candidate in The University of Maryland’s Department of Criminal Justice.

She was Jewish? Kimchi doesn’t sound like a Jewish name.
