LOS ANGELES - A Bel Air homeowner is in shock after coming face to face with a violent naked man who broke into his house and killed the family pets.
Mat Sabz was home alone Thursday afternoon when his wife called to tell him that security cameras showed a naked man breaking into their home.
"I see a man downstairs, eye to eye. Immediately I raised my voice and pointed at him saying ‘hey what are you doing,’" Sabz told FOX 11.

There are so many violent misfits in the LA area. I’ve seen it close up. It’s really scary how so many of them have accumulated in one region.
If an unleashed pit bull type dog charges you and your leashed pet, one has every right to eliminate that threat to themselves and their leashed dog.
Right, but (in most states particularly those with some version of the Castle Doctrine) the moment someone breaks into your home - even if it’s just to steal your TV or murder your pet - justifiable homicide is in play.

Totally agree. Pets are like kids, and deserve the same defense. And, if you forcibly enter someone’s home, you have surrendered your right to life. Shoot first, ask “Who dat?” afterwards.
A couple of notes. First, this is LA. There might well be local laws making it next to impossible to get a gun. I also live in Ca and it took me months to get a gun and ammo. 2nd, this is LA. Odds are the guy will be released without charges as the LA district attorney routinely does nowadays. This guy ran on a platform of not enforcing laws, especially ones about crimes against property. 3rd, this is LA. He is probably one of the thousands of “homeless” (aka bums and trash — only a very small minority are there because of things beyond their control) who roam the streets terrorizing everyone just trying to get on with life. This will get him a free pass in any court in the county. He will be out in <month.
Whether it be my 9mm concealed carry pistol, the tactical 12 guage that lives in the closet 5 feet from my bed or one of the AR-15s I slap a loaded mag into, break into my home with the intent of harming my dog and you will not be long for this world.
