The whole family’s PC run W7; would MS use some sort of program to get into your PC and trash W7?

Guess this means that the 16GB in each of my laptops and workstations will need to be increased to 32GB...

Given that we we have an old clunker laptop that still (barely) runs on Windows XP I’d say no.

automatic updates...
oh, I bet you cannot turn off location detection after this or upcoming update. There is one hell of a db over at the Eff-Bee-Eye and Sea-Eye-Yay to make sure we know where all the maga hats are at any given time...

Can anyone trust an operating system that is put out by the company Bill Gates founded? His ‘Dismantling Racism in Mathematics’ is absurd and mindlessly destructive of everything an operating system like Windows 11 must be, logical, reliable, and based on sound programing and mathematics. Can there be any dispute?
Perhaps Gates vaccine initiatives are like the latest version of Windows, insidious and infecting attempts to undermine the very “customers” they are foisted upon. Perhaps, like Windows 10, it should be shunned by anyone that cares about computing and their data driven enterprises? I am sure there will be plenty of analysis and opinion following the Windows 11 release. That may well illuminate dangers unforeseen, and unexpected.

That big giant sucking sound you will be hearing is the new operating system sending all your data back to the Microsoft mother-ship. Don’t trust it for a second.

LOL, seeings as to how we are only a little ways into the decade, this might be something to fix a window that doesn’t draw correctly!

I’m still using Windows 7 and recently I’ve begun experiencing incompatibility with some websites, including some things on Amazon.

It’s their OS. If you don’t want it on your hardware, install something else.

up there with “Fundamentally Transform” and Obama.
Now Linux on the other hand is happily trapped snuggly in the late 1970’s unix shells and api’s.

I experience that with many websites. I found using newer browsers help, even though I am still using old Comodo IceDragon (Firefox) and Firefox ER. I now also use the latest version of Vivaldi (Chromium) and it loads most of the website pages without any problems.

If it screws up, they usually fix it fairly quickly.
"Usually"
The family computer is a 10 year old Acer desktop Veriton, and the last bug fix update from Windows made it impossible to get audio working properly. I had to reinstall Windows 10 to get it back.

Windows 10 is still chaos. Installing updates is very hazardous.
