Not my cup of tea for sure. I like almost anything from 1930 to 1969. After that, it gets iffy and specific. Ha.

I really like that Frankenstein piece. Was it his brother, Edgar, who did this one?

It was my first teenage breakup song, though I think the piece had been around a few years before our gang discovered it. I remember playing it over and over again and weeping like only a young girl can and contemplating running away to New England, though at the time I didn’t know where that was, but it was in the song, so I was going there to live a life of sadness, solitude and spinsterhood.

My father finally told me it wasn’t like the boy was going to be my husband and there would be other boys before I met the right man. That hadn’t occurred to my fatalistic 14-15 year-old self and it perked me up immediately. I didn’t listen to the song again and didn’t find out where New England was until Geography class two years later. Your link made me think of the other albino Winter.

Things were so simple back then or seemed so. Thanks for the look back, meyer.

I saw them at state fairgrounds in Detroit opening for Jethro Tull back in the day. great show.
