Controversy arose over the evidence, which L.A. County Sheriff’s deputies initially said they saw lying about in plain sight. Defense attorneys later learned the deputy had been instructed to open the drawer of the tool chest where the items were found, which would have required a search warrant.
This was a crime scene of a death of a dude. Does that actually require a search warrant? If so, it's a death crime scene. How would the cops not have gotten a search warrant?
