The end of ropes worn on the shoulder in the military?
The end of SWAT teams repelling down ropes?
No more ropes to section off areas in restaurants, banks, etc?

I'd point out to these folks that you wouldn't use an evergreen for lynching. The branches start too high up. Oaks are better for that. Lower limbs on oaks tend to be stronger as well.
