I understand that. I was just puzzling over the timing and wondering why Putin would think it was needed today. Of course I can imagine all sorts of things, but was curious what you thought about the timing. Why now and not any other time during the last 20 years?

Could be Vlad flexing muscles to show us he won’t stand for a retaliatory cyber attack against by the U.S. against a perceived state sponsored attack by Russia. I’m pretty sure Putin made it clear that such a disabling event would trigger a defensive response from the Ruskies.

The tit-for-tat cyber attack problem could easily spiral out of control.
