It is never too late to use real email that is secure, can be encrypted, has no ads, and complete anonymity. Don't feed the Marxists at Yahoo! Protonmail

I think you are being phished. Stop what you are doing. Do not type any passwords. Get some in-person help.

If you typed any passwords, you need to change them immediately. DO NO CLICK THAT LINK AGAIN. Go directly to yahoo.vom.

The link is a banner across the top of my email page not an email in and of itself, and there is a triangle of death in the refresh at the top as well.

A popup just slid across my screen saying the same thing, your 2 yahoo accounts are out of date. If this is phishing it’s not like anything I’ve ever heard of. How did they manage to put a banner across the top of my mail page before I ever clicked on anything?

I agree with others here. There is a 100% chance that you are being scammed. Give them no information at all.

Did you first check to see if they actually were locked? Always verify what you are told.

I think that the advice to go directly to yahoo may work, I’m changing my password even as we speak. All my mail came up on yahoo’s web site.
Thanks

“I think you are being phished. Stop what you are doing. Do not type any passwords. Get some in-person help.”

Best advice here^^^. Contact Yahoo directly about it. And then download your account and contacts and go elsewhere. Like protonmail as suggested.

Whenever you are informed that there is a problem with ANY account you have, of ANY type, never trust the messenger. Never click any links they give you, and never give them any information.

Instead, always go straight to the source.

If you are told there is a problem with your Yahoo email account, then go straight to mail.yahoo.com and attempt to assess the state of your account from there.

If someone tells you there is an issue with your bank account or credit card, tell them thank you, and hang up. Then call the trusted phone number that you have for your bank or credit card and assess the status of your account directly from them.

I like Proton... The “inline” attachment feature is pretty cool. :)

You are absolutely right. I slipped up because of how these messages were delivered. I deleted the mailbox on my computer, changed passwords and will now figure out how to notify everyone that I’m switching to Proton.

Go to Yahoo.com then click on Mail in upper left then you will see a circle with your initials in upper right if you are logged in. If not then click there and log in.

BTW I will need your SSN and credit card # to give you the rest of the information.... : )
