Just noticed that the new federal holiday will cause the next Father’s day to be on a 3 day weekend ( Monday holiday ). I’m sure those who rammed the new holiday down our throats thought it would help make it more palatable.

Juneteenth is and always has been June 19th (hence the "Juneteenth" name). Father's Day has always been the third Sunday in June. Father's Day and Juneteenth being on the same day during certain years is nothing nefarious. More like coincidence.

HISTORY: Not all slaves were freed by the Emancipation Proclamation, nor via Juneteenth. Only the slaves of the REBEL states were freed then. Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation was a wartime effort to split and weaken the South; he did NOT free any slaves in the Northern states. Slaves in the non-rebelling border states had to wait for the 13th Amendment, effective December 18, 1865.
