Do You Feel Like Your Hands Are Tied ?

Our founding was predicated by the wisdom of men that had seen the nations of now and decided to formulate a nation for tomorrow.

A concept missing in the American mind today

Definition of posterity

1: the offspring of one progenitor to the furthest generation
2: all future generations

Here in Pennsylvania, school board directors are elected in off years.

2021 is an election year for my local gov't indoctrination center/district, and we in our community are active in getting a majority of outspoken and unafraid born again Christian people to be elected to the school board.

Most folks know the board has a lot to say about how a local school operates, but they also vote to hire teachers.

The teacher is the one that actually stands in front of children and uses words that educate or dumb down.

The internet is chock FULL of accounts of teachers that are accused of, get fired for or in other ways the focus of some problem we FReepers generally rankle at and comment, "She should be tried for treason" ... (or some such similar comment.

The Board of Directors hired that teacher.

I have been elected and served almost 4 years on a school board and I can tell you, I was, for the most part, outnumbered as a Conservative Christian in the voting process.

I've seen a very qualified PHD hired for one month and let go for a board member's son who had to complete school and pass the background checks, someone we couldn't hire a month earlier when we had to replace a retiree.

THAT account is just one example of dozens of (imo) bad (for the public) decisions made under the guise of necessity.

I'm addressing FreeRepublic because I believe we can still make a difference by actively being involved in the education/indoctrination of our most precious and innocent .... our children.

Run a write in campaign articulating your beliefs and your desire(s) to make a difference.

We are all capable of making wise decisions for our children and our founders died, believing they would pass on to us .... THEIR posterity .... the qualities and bravery to actually get into the fray.

We may never have another Concord/Lexington ... but the battle is for the mind of America ... which our kids are not getting, and what Mom and Dad have trained into their kids, is being cleverly excised.

Pennsylvania has made it law to teach SEL in the state (commonwealth) ... you'd better look into your own state.

We have until November to make a difference.

Untie your hands

No room at all for simplistic education. Reading, writing, and arithmetic. I sure wouldn’t be calling this worth the dollars each State spends on public education. The buck stops at the school board, and to generalize they have become over time, rubber stamps for what we see today as not worth our time or money.

I was able to deal with the unexplained acronyms but I didn’t like it.

I just wonder what the future survival rate will be for those children now in the public education system? On another note it is very difficult to put a stop to a system that has grown to the size of the present monster business that is public education.

It’s not a matter of difficulty.

It’s a matter of will.

The Leftists win because they LIVE to boss other people around. The live and let live folks only engage under threat and by then it is too late. The Public Indoctrination Camps are too corrupt to reform anymore.

Let parents pay for education like any other product or service. Separation of School and State is an idea whose time has come.

It’s a matter of will.

I believe I agree. Which then begs the question.

“...the present monster business that is public education.”

1980 - The U.S. Dept. of Education began operating, having been created after the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare was split into the Department of Education and the Department of Health and Human Services.

1969 - The National Education Association (N.E.A.) union ended publication of The American Citizens Handbook; there were claims the last 10,000 copies were dumped in a NY landfill.

1953 - The United States Department of Health, Education, and Welfare, a cabinet-level department of the United States government, began.

1945 - The United Nations began, as well as The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). (UN’s World Health Organization began in 1948.)

1941 - The N.E.A. purchased rights to the book The American Citizens Handbook, and began distributing it to schools and new (legal) immigrants (to help them know America and its values). Info link: http://www.shipofstate.com/books/AmericanCitizensHandbook/AmericanCitizensHandbook.htm

American education has “progressed” as leftists (John Dewey, Frankfurt School adherents) wanted.
