Revelation 21:4
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away

Been a listener since 1989. Until KDKA-AM put him on in Pittsburgh, I had to listen to WKBN (570 kc) from Youngstown, Ohio or WWVA (1170 kc) from Wheeling, WV, the latter which I listen and listened to him now since I live in the Wheeling area. I remember the 2008 election, I was swapping messages with Rush in Facebook and he was saying how can Obama win, I remember I replied to him, "Theodore H. White said in his book, Making of the President 1964, Democrats are for Santa Claus and Republicans are for virtue." I added, "Rush, despite virtue being the right thing, how can you compete against Santa Claus?" The next day, Rush used that analogy in his show. I deliver food for one of the major internet companies, in short, I'm my own business as a contractor, trying to do the American thing although with the Democrates back in charge, it hurts me gas wise. It really hurts me that he passed on when we need him the most, but I have to remember Rush would want us to go on.
It's like one of Billy Graham's people asked him "when you're gone, who will lead?" Billy Graham waved his arm and pointed out to a stadium full of people and said, "they will." Rush, the teacher, is gone. Gone when we need him the most. We as pupils but assume the roles of being teachers and just bring about the next generations.
I think in the pecking order of talkshow hosts now, I'd say the #1 position would be Glenn Beck and #2 Sean Hannity, used to be #2 and #3 respectively. #3 now, I'd have to say Mark Levin. Buck Sexton is good, but with his partner, he has to prove himself so I'd put him in #4, the cleanup position, for now.
There is/was only one Rush Limbaugh as there was only one Art Bell, Just like when Art retired and later, died, it took a few hosts to get Coast to Coast on track. I listen to Sexton a lot, many early evenings, he was a companion on the radio as I hustle food everywhere, but to take the Rush slot, like anyone else, he has to prove himself and we do need to give him that chance.
One thing interesting is in Pittsburgh, there is no EIB affiliate anymore or whatever Buck will call the show, Rose took that slot as a local or regional host on 1320 kc.
BTW, if Rush was pre-empted, I remember WRNO used to carry Rush on shortwave on 15420 kc, I'm an amateur radio operator so I used my ham radio/shortwave to listen to him.

Don't want to toot my own horn, (
Da da lut da da lut da da lut!) but I was an advocate for Buck Sexton for years, ever since I heard him in 2013, I believe. And I thought he should be in the running to replace Rush in his time slot.
I do have to say I was really impressed with Jason Lewis--he was the most Limbaugh-esque, I must say. He was smart, was funny, no fakery. (laugh, etc) you could tell he was a listener who knew the show, and he could only get better. He needs to be the fill in host for Sexton and Travis--he was the best of the bunch. Although i do have to say Ken Matthews was, in retrospect, the right guy to send the show off, if/since Steyn seemingly didn't want to do it, or the EIB brass didn't want him to do it.
I hope someone writes a book that chronicles the Post-Rush show period. I would love to have someone in the know that can answer the questions I have that are bugging me about the whole thing.

Looks like they will still refer to it as the “EIB Network” if what is on https://www.rushlimbaugh.com is any indication - “Rush 24/7” is going to start being called “EIB 24/7”
