The last show is today.

Totally agree. I lost it after listening to that caller, and when I heard Rush's music for the last time at 3:00pm ET today. As others have stated here, I felt that tremendous sense of loss all over again today.
NO ONE will ever replace Rush Limbaugh.
See post #58 on this thread.
I think we can still go into the online 'library' at Rush 24/7 and listen to all complete shows hosted by Rush Limbaugh.
Does anyone know for sure if this is true?
Same here. I also discovered Rush 30 years ago, March 1991. A 30-year habit is really hard to break.
I don’t know, but I hope you’re right! I’ve never joined, but I’ve considered it. If I could still hear Rush’s voice whenever I want to, that would be pretty nice.
I haven’t heard anything about that.
February 2nd was the last time Rush hosted his show. He closed with “We’ll be back soon.”
Thanks.
Me too.
Totally agree. I would love to re-play some of Rush's radio shows from back during the Clinton regime. Complete with all the great Paul Shanklin parodies! Those were the days.
I don't have much time over the next couple days to really delve into my Rush 24/7 subscription, but I'll try to give it a look soon, and report back what's available.
It was a very good final show - and the final caller ever to the Rush Limbaugh Show was about the best call you could have hoped for - could not have gone any better as a final caller.
Not a subscriber but it appears they will transition that into being called “EIB 24/7” to incorporate both Rush’s archives and the archives of the new EIB Network hosts. Glad they are still going to keep it as the EIB Network.
I live about 3 miles from the MA border near 91 so it comes in loud and clear. Howie Carr is my go to driving home from work most days.
Howie is also on WPOP 1410 Hartford.
WTIC as has been said is going with
Tom Shattuck 10a-2p then Todd Feinburg
at 2 pm.
Tom used to work with Boston host
Michael Graham who called him Great and
Powerful Tom.He worked at Boston Herald
and Lowell Sun. Talked with him very
briefly at a college radio conference
but haven’t really heard him.
In 2007 Feinburg was in for Howie for
several months as Howie was attempting to
jump to an FM station. That failed but
he “got control of his show” in late 2014.
Feinburg was ok but no Howie.Todd also
did mornings on WRKO for awhile.
Thanks for posting. End of an era.
What stations will be running which shows.
Major iHeart conservative talkers will
take Travis and Sexton. Various stations
could go for Bongino or Loesch or the Fox News Talk show or a local show.
WPHT Philadelphia may go local.
Thanks
I was driving my family home the day Rush died. When I pulled into the driveway I broke down bawling. I couldn’t stop.
I stopped listening to the shows after his death. The flashbacks of Rush talking about current issues were good, but it just made me grieve over him more.
I’m listening to Dan Bongino. He’s good, but not in the same league as El Rushbo. I like Ben Shapiro, too, but I have to play him back at half speed. I can’t listen as fast as he talks.
Interesting... thank you for that news!
I'm glad they are still keeping the 'EIB Network' as well.
Same here, although we're maybe 5 miles from the MA border (near Southwick, MA). We must live fairly close to one another!
As I said upthread, the formerly great WTIC 1080 sucks. It has REALLY gone downhill over the past few years with their local programming, in my opinion.
I thought WTIC would at least pick up the new EIB / Clay Travis/Buck Sexton show in the usual 12-3 "Rush" time slot. Instead they're changing their entire talk radio format with all *very boring* local programming.
I'd say Tom Shattuck is a 3rd rate local talk show host at best.
The conservative talk show hosts in the 9am - 12 noon slot at WTIC used to be very good: Jim Vicevich, then Pastor Will Marotti. Vicevich had health problems, and had to leave the show. Marotti took over and kept the show afloat for several years, with Vicevich's loyal regular callers. Now Pastor Will Marotti is leaving because he has to focus full-time on his megachurch and school in Wallingford, CT.
Tom Shattuck and several other potential hosts filled in over the past couple of months during the 9-12 noon slot for Marotti. Shattuck was one of the worst, IMO. Several of the regular callers would criticize him on air, or they just disappeared altogether. So what does WTIC do? Reward Tom Shattuck with his own show in a prime slot! I fully expect The Tom Shattuck Show to crash and burn.
Todd Feinburg is OK, but whines about the same thing all the time: How bad the state of CT is, how bad the governor and state legislature is, yadda yadda yadda. Connecticut and the northeast is hopeless, politically. Why tune in to hear such misery day after day??
