From the little bit of OBJECTIVE coverage we could glean from the "news": Some woman (presumably the wife of the black guy and mother of the child) was destroying a motel tv set...
Police called to scene, woman is arrested for outstanding warrant.
Cop now has to make sure child, who is TWO YEARS OLD is cared for....black guy refuses to give cop identification. Without identifying whether black guy is dad, baby goes to state custody.
Cop gets mad because guy refuses to comply with lawful order.
Must wonder what would happen if he used the term son?

He’d be in trouble for misgendering if he’d said “young man”.

For decades...my friends and I have greeted each other with “How’s the boy?”...Nothing more intended than a warm friendly greeting....we still do it.
NEVER assume the proper pronoun. Is You ok for everyone? Is using OK racist? I’m just so confused.
The media does the same thing every day, but in reverse. When describing the skin color of someone, they capitalize black (”Black”) but not white (”white”).
Do you know how many blacks they would have to suspend for them saying ‘white boy’ and ‘white girl’?
A large percentage of them, for certain.

I was raised in Ohio and the term boy used then had nothing to do with race ... at least in my part of Ohio.
