Many dogs are very possessive of their owners. If in fact Bonnie was attached to this gal already, then boyfriends efforts to pat her was a mistake.
The shelter wouldn’t take the dog back. I’m not supporting her decision I just know that from reading this plus tons of comments on Twitter last night.
