Night 2 of the 145th annual Westminster Dog Show
Working group up now. LIVE on FOX right now.
As much as I love the shows I do get irritated at those that get picked. haha...the ones that I choose hardly ever make the cut. grrr
The MCs are always emphasizing that popularity has nothing to do with the choices but the 'standard'. but I think it's inside politics. I once knew a breeder of char pais (sp) and she told me it's cut throat at the big shows.
But as long as they don't get into 'national' leftist politics and keep the shows apolitical I'm happy (sort of haha).
Just watched the Samoyed win the working group. Beautiful dog.
haha
yep...was rooting for the Newfy though :( haha.
Terriers Up ! ick lol!
Being judged by Mr. Potter! It’s a wonderful life.
He’s from my state too!
Border Terrier...We could use them now even if they are ankle biters. lol
I love Border Terriers! But I never got one because they’re just too small. They have great personalities.
My father had a Nefy who naturally became his working dog after his heart attacks .
He helped him walk , retrieve items , sat by his bed all night and all day in his study and went and got people if he called out for them . She was just a wonder .
A beautiful soul .
Wow...what a great tribute. They are simply a beautiful breed, inside and out.

I hate to get critical here but who would choose a handler that is ‘tatted’ up? There was one in the working group that had tats covering both legs and arms. wth?
My wife and I were at the show yesterday and last night.
Our dog was the 15” Beagle.
I wish they would have it in Tarrytown every year.
What an incredibly beautiful setting.
So much better than Madison Square Garden.
Wow...that’s wonderful. It looks absolutely beautiful but they did say they were going back to MSG next year. We’ll see. I’m sure the reasoning is there is no room for spectators at this venue. Held it here because of covid donchya know.
Congratulations! I went a couple years back and helped my son with his dog. I love this setting so much better. MSG is a dump in comparison.
I would think so.
I hope Pat Trotter picks the Sammie.
Yes, there were no spectators, only exhibitors.
We were in the Hound Group, so we only had two tickets for last night.
We also had to have a negative covid test to enter the grounds Saturday morning.
It is just so much nicer of a area than mid town Manhattan.
Westchester county is very pretty.
The grounds crew did an incredible job getting the venue ready.
It took 7 days just to build the main show tent.
The breed judging was done outside the tent you see on TV.
Just walking around the grounds of the Lyndhurst estate was a treat and truly awesome to visit.
Frankly, if the show was at MSG we would not have gone.
Of course covid was blamed for the change but I wondered if that was completely true or was it the riots and BLM and he was just afraid to admit that.
