Why do the peoples in Israel not like/love Netanyahu? Probably for the same reason a lot of people, who have a left leaning tendency did not like Trump; who I believe was a great president. Please don't conflate Netanyahu and Donald Trump. It does a great disservice to the President.
After 35 years in power, 15 as PM, Netanyahu is the epicenter of the Israeli deep state. Isreal becamee something to serve Netanyahu, not the other way around.
It's time to clean out the self-serving corruption of Benjamin Netanyahu and allow a new generaton of Israelis to assume the mantle of leadership.
Even if Bibi throws a hissy fit.

It's interesting FReepers are all ridiculing Biden and Hillary claiming to be an agent of change and that their election would shake up the system when in reality they've been in power for decades and are about as status quo as it gets. The same is true of Netanyahu. He's been in power 35 years, 15 of them as the head of government. I thought FReepers were against "career politicians" who been sucking at the government is teat for decades? There's even a large segment on this forum that is perfectly fine with primarying model conservatives like Pat Roberts and Mike Enzi (both of which had much more solidly conservative records than Bibi) merely because it's "time for them to go" and make way for new blood.
. I actually like Bibi, I think he did a number of great things during his tenure, but he overstayed his welcome and he was really dragging down Likud towards the end with his insistence that he remain as the face of the party. He really should have put aside his ego after a decade as PM and handed over the reins to a protege. Being the longest serving PM in history was nothing to be ashamed of, but it seemed Bibi wanted to take it a step further, and have an FDR like legacy of holding the job for life,
