The Omniscient Father

Posted on 06/13/2021 7:27:32 AM PDT by Mrs. Warrior

In beginning God said “let us make man in our own image and likeness”. So, after creating everything out of nothing with the eye of an artist for the colors of life, He wanted a being with a soul, with a heart to love and communicate with.

This is the greatest love story ever told; that God knew that man would sin and choose to fall out of fellowship, however, He is the all knowing God. So instead of not giving man a free will to choose, He knew that for love to be true it had to be freely given without condition, so from the foundation of the creation He ordained a substitute, He gave His only begotten Son as a payment for many.

At the cross, when Jesus chose to carry the sin of mankind, He cried out “My God, My God why have you forsaken me?” God the Father in His Holiness had to turn His back on His son, and poured out His Righteous wrath on the man Jesus, instead of mankind. When the price was paid and God's judgment was exhausted, Jesus said “it is finished” meaning the payment for all mankind was exacted in Him, He then said “Father into thy hands I commit my spirit”, and laid down his life knowing that His Father had the power to raise him up. And after being dead and in the grave for three days according to Hebrew law and prophecy, He arose in newness of Life eternal. He sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. He has engraved the names of His children, those who would believe, on His arm according to John's Revelation. This is the Gospel, the Good news, that God is not angry with you, rather he wants to shower you with love and blessing in and for Christ's sake!

As a young girl I endured the horror of a stepfather who was so full of evil that he condemned me to a childhood of punishment. I was beaten for buying a candy bar, when I was a young child and left out to die in a snowy night, about to freeze to death I made a snow angel, and looked at the stars, I pleaded with God to save me, angels in the snow gave me their warmth and I was saved, as its written, I came to Him with the faith of a child.

I survived and grew up and soon God brought the designed other half of my heart to me as my husband. He showed me the loving arms of Jesus in his tender love as a husband and father. Recently, when our granddaughters had a father-daughter dance my husband taught them how to waltz; I played the song “woman in red”. I will never forget the tenderness of the way he held them.

As a military family, we were separated for long periods due to schools and deployments and after many hard trials through which I learned I could be an independent and strong woman. Once, I recall at an Army function I was back in his arms; he had taught me to waltz and they played the “woman in red”.

After a violent assault I started to be afraid, and I realized that I had to set a better example for my daughters and granddaughters. I came to God in my heartbreak and in my prayer time I saw that He opened his arms and He told me “these hands that want to hold you now are open”. “As my beloved daughter you can come into them if you want”. I saw in His eyes the sorrow He carried for my wounds and I went into His arms and put my head down on His chest, He said “daughter it is time to dance, He gently took my hand, and gave me the dress of a princess, music from heavenly angels played, and He lifted me in the air we danced a waltz of a father and his daughter above my fears”.

I found relief and rescue in this new joy. Recently my granddaughter told me that I was a strong woman. My Heavenly Father gave me a gift that it was time to tell the story so that others can dance with me in their Heavenly Father's arms.

Watching my son and his father working together blesses me. Since I do not like traffic going by, they built me an arbor made of white lattice under the oak trees in our front yard so I would feel more safe.

Jesus was a carpenter even though He was equal with God He humbled himself and became a man obedient to His Father to the point of death on the cross to save mankind from their sin. In this example of a father who gave his beloved son is like when your children grow up and become your friends, you see how all the love and sacrifice you gave to raise them is now the enjoyed at the table as we thank the Heavenly Father. Likewise my husband always provided and took great care of his family.

God, in whom all the families under heaven are named, will, in His omniscience give a wonderful end time story where all of His children will gather at a feast in Heaven. A father is meant to be the strong man of the house who protects it and those in it, and holds the hand of his partner and best friend, his wife and his children's mother, created to form this continuation of life. This fathers day our family is held in the hand of our Heavenly Father.

As children are as arrows in the hands of a mighty man, mothers help them when the landing is not so gentle.
