I got two burner phones that are not activated yet. Plan is to migrate to the burners for phone number info.

I get those as well. I think it is my VPN that throws them off. Trying to locate.

That was a spoofing attempt. It’s very possible that your phone has malware installed on it. Android is an insecure OS, so you really need to monitor what your phone is doing.

I have never seen that and just logged in and wasn’t asked for an android pin. Whatever it is - it is at your end.

I never knew Youtube had a login.

They added it to get to leave comments, etc. Just an effort to draw you into the Google-universe.

My phone is wiped (De-Google’d) so Android is gone. It has LineageOS on it.
I do not get any prompt.

Google wants to make sure that the information it sells belongs to a real person.

Are you logged in?
When I was a little kid we had a sand box.
It was a quicksand box.
I was an only child...
Eventually...

For the (android) phone, you need Newpipe. You can get it using FDroid (all open source software). It pulls the videos and information straight from youtube so that you can watch youtube vids with no commercials (or need to log in).
For PCs, get SMPlayer and then SMTube (you need the first to be able to use the second). This does the same thing as Newpipe does for Android (no commercials nor login needed). It works on both WinBlows and Linux. Not sure about Apple/Mac.

It IS the VPN. It gets so many “requests” through the VPN IP address that it is making sure that you are legit.

No problem ;^)
I’ve been using them all for years.
The only problem I had, was sometimes youtube would update something.. then I had to make sure to get the update for SMPlayer to match it. (Youtube always trying to prevent people from being able to pull their vids.. but I/we owe them nothing, and gain everyting by doing it this way :))
