Military Base Removes Banner Promoting Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School has been a beloved summer pastime for children across America for generations.

Boys and girls look forward to a week of Bible stories, interactive songs, arts and crafts and of course, Hydrox cookies and fruit punch. What’s not to love about VBS?

Honestly, the only people who could be remotely offended by Vacation Bible School would be a bunch of godless, heathen atheists.

And that brings me to an incident that occurred at Fort Sill in Oklahoma.

Military leaders ordered soldiers to remove a banner promoting Vacation Bible School at the base’s Frontier Chapel. The banner, which had been posted to a fence outside the main gate, declared, “Jesus Pulls Us Through.”

The banner had reportedly triggered individuals associated with the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, an organization known for waging campaigns against nativity scenes on military bases. Listen to Todd’s explosive interview with MRFF founder Mikey Weinstein above.

No , its no ‘attack on Xians’.

The military, gets its money through taxes, right?

Therefore, using government tax money to promote ANY one religion over ANY other religion, is an unspoken ‘the pigs are more equal than the farmer’ mindset.

I’m a vet, my son is active. I was reading in judges where essentially years of peace and luxury make men effeminate. It was so bad that Barak refused to go to battle without Deborah, so she led them. The last cowardly general was killed by Jael who spiked his head to the ground.. then she cut it off, leaving it spiked to the ground.
Normally I am 1000 percent against women in combat, still am, but this made me think.

I grew up in an Air Force family. My dad was a career officer. We moved a lot. There was one stretch where we lived in 12 different locations in 10 years.

Different kids to get to know in new schools ever year. I never retained life-long friends from that lifestyle growing up like most of my "civilian" friends did.

But one thing that was consistent and that I enjoyed every summer no matter where we were stationed was vacation bible school. My brother and sister and I looked forward to it every year. It was fun and the kids had lived the same transient lifestyle as we had so we had something in common.

I don't remember it being especially religious even though I remember reading some bible stories everyday. It was just clean, wholesome fun with a variety of activities to keep us busy and interested.

It was a familiar and comforting place to be for a week every summer growing up as military brats.

Now we’re beginning to reap what we sowed in this country. God has turned his back on us when the most powerful nation he made turns its back on God. We are rapidly becoming a mirror image of Sodom and Gomorrah literally. When Israel would disobey God and turn it back on God he would always send a massive army to invade the nation. Look around folks we are being invaded by all sorts of evilness not only our borders but inside by our very own countrymen.
