My son worked as a research assistant at UCLA with a doctor conducting a long term brain disorder study. Alzheimer’s was one of the disorders he was studying.
He had a theory that too much iron in the myelin surrounding the brain was a cause of that disease.
Unfortunately, he passed away from pancreatic cancer several years ago. I don’t know if his study was continued.
I’m so sorry about your son, Jvette. Wish I had my mil’s information. She was enrolled in a study at UCLA when she had Alzheimer’s. I wonder if your son and my mil’s path crossed.
Probably not and I don’t have any paperwork. But she was an absolute sweetheart.

my oldest brother has hemachromatosis....too much iron in your body....it can affect your organs....luckily, they had him give blood every week for several weeks and it brought his levels down....still has to watch it though...
my cast iron pans?.....can't cook without them....
Hugs to you.
So sorry for your loss. 💐
