10 days ain’t hard. I went 7 days without power in December after an ice storm. That first night is a long story of super-human feats.
After that I now know how to get through times of trouble. It doesn’t have to take complete deep state shenanigans, all it takes is a natural weather event. I went through a cord of wood in a week. Bugging out is for sissies.

I respect your view. With that said, Mobs do not act with logic. Fear is powerful. Fear does not know logic. The Mob acts with fear.
You, Me, any of my family members might be required to defend family or friends. Mobs are unpredictable.
You will have to decide for yourself how you respond to unpredictable events.

We survived two weeks without power in the blizzard of ‘93 in South Tennessee. One or two inches shuts us down. Over a foot is a disaster since we rarely get snow. Ten days will be hard but not THAT hard. We have a tractor and a generator. Country folk will survive. I will find it difficult to explain it to my 25 year old granddaughter but 10 days won’t kill her.
It's hard for most people. Kudos to you for your preparation work. However that 7 days was not devoid of media or no stores at all being open. That 7 days was a small pocket of the population. If that happens on national or global scale, it's a much much different ball of wax.
