Way, way back in 2005, in more innocent times, this song got a lot of summer airplay on what was called back then "alternative" rock stations.
I always thought it was a good song and it seems to hold up over time.
From the album "Catch Without Arms" which is a worthy listen all the way through.
I expected to make it to 30 seconds, but I stuck it out to 60. The extra 30 confirmed what I expected.
I vaguely knew the guitarist in this band, but I’ve never heard one of their songs.
All my music is on Amazon prime. I went to see if I had Dredg. I do not. I cannot add them either as they are on Amazon unlimited.
Which I don’t have.

That era is now almost two decades ago. How can that be?
Anyway, here’s a good one from back then. Kelli Ali, Sunlight in the Rain, 2003 (note the bass line sampled from Isaac Hayes’s Never Can Say Goodbye):

Luna, Star Spangled Man, 2004:

Just missing the 2000’s is Richard Thompson, Hard On Me, from his underappreciated Mock Tudor album released in September 1999:

All three songs build as they go along...
I made it to 1:30. What do I win? First 30 seconds were ok. Next 30 seconds i endured hoping it would get better. Last 30 seconds same as previous.
You win the Golden Earplugs. They are kind of the opposite of Rush’s Golden EIB Microphone.
