Trump’s biggest error was to portray covid as just another flu and it would go away with summer weather. Actually Trump worked hard to get vaccines developed and distributed at warp speed. But Trump is not a polished politician. American voters are not political junkies, logging on FR. They go by what they “feel” and Trump came across as less caring than Biden to many naïve voters.
I’m sure that those who benefitted from Donald Trump’s cheap insulin program were aware of what he’d done.
But the media doesn’t give voice to all people (who benefit or suffer).
