Just curious - is there any evidence that Insulin actually helps Type 2 diabetics live longer, with few complications, than no Insulin? I do get that it lowers blood sugar...just haven’t seen anything beyond that.

You mean no evidence beyond the fact that before insulin, a diagnosis of diabetes was a death sentence? That evidence?

I can't quote stats or articles about this but I know insulin is a life saving drug. My ex-wife is a prime example. Without her insulin injections she would have been dead long ago. She frets about a situation (calamity) where she'll be unable to get insulin.
