MSC cruise to Bahamas requires fully vaccinated 14 days prior to sail date AND negative covid test taken no more that 2 days prior to sail date.
When is your cruise? Coming up, soon, right?
I know you’ve been looking forward to, and posting about it, all year.
Looking forward to seeing those pics you’ve promised, posted
Coronavirus tests increase the risk of meningitis.
Another horrid side effect of that *test*.
Next week baby! That is if we both test negative for covid, and because of the stupid Bahama stop for cruise itinerary, MSC cruises is requiring all passengers to be fully vaxxed and test negative PCR test no earlier than 48 hours before sailing. I am not sure we can even get the results that fast. Such hassles! I bet the ship will be half empty but that is OK and at least no passengers will be on board already infected with covid.
How? Just by swabbing in the nose with a new swab?

The risk is extremely low. It looks like ít can happen if the person taking the test makes a mistake. You probably can disregard my post.
Yay!!!
Well, you’ve both been ‘vax’d, so there should be NO problem testing negative 😉
And....that ship will NOT be half empty.....I recall you saying it would be full with MANY other ‘vax’d pax.
Bon voyage, baby!
From your link....
...The l’Académie nationale de médecine, comprised of 400 French and foreign doctors and medical experts, said in a statement yesterday (April 8) that nasal tests can result in serious injury caused by “breaches of the frontal skull bones”.
This is in addition to more common side effects, which are unpleasant but benign, such as pain or slight bleeding.
The health academy said it was important to raise awareness of the risks as nasal swab testing has become the primary method of testing for Covid-19.
~~snip~~ (no pun intended)
The statement referenced a Spanish medical study from January 2021, which examined a case in which a nasal swab test caused a rupture in the barriers between the nasal cavity and sinuses.
This resulted in a fluid leak in the brain, which led to the patient developing meningitis.

😱
Well, that sounds unpleasant! 😬
All for a test that was not designed to be used for diagnosis, which can’t distinguish between the flu and COVID, and has a 90% false positive rate.
