“he sounds like a douchecanoe.”
He sure does ... missing his paddles too.
To turn this on him, he ought to be hauled into court for failure to pay the full amount. She could make up a number, like there was only half of it there. I bet this passive aggressive guy did not think that could happen. Unless Brinks delivered it, he has no proof that he actually delivered that number of coins given the manner they were delivered. Good chance he’ll lose, court especially won’t like his anti-social, abnormal behavior. He will have to make up the difference + pay her attorney fees (and his own). Court could even order the form of the next payment - certified funds. ANd to do this again, he will be held in contempt.
She could have been the worse ex- in the world. As a very wise woman once told me, “Well ... [he] picked her.” And even if she was the absolute worst, the strategy is to get out of there asap and move on as life is too short. Emotions need to be kept in check.
I am not going to condemn the guy for the relationship.
I have seen in my own family where the female was as sweet as pie while dating and after the marriage the gloves came off and they turned into a different person. It was Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
And some women are really, really good at it and make life hell for the men later.
“Emotions need to be kept in check.”
Sometime a check just won’t do. It requires cash, small change even.
“As a very wise woman once told me, “Well ... [he] picked her.”
Disagree. At least until recently, it was generally the woman who chose the man/men she was going to associate with. Then we got to listen to her complaints about her choices. Bad boys and all that.....
