Grew up on Canadian bacon and pineapple. I do pepperoni and pineapple these days. There is something about Canadian bacon that bothers me. Don’t know if it’s the “Canadian” or the “bacon” part that is deceptive.

Both are deceptive. It’s ham, and I’m 36% sure that Canadians didn’t invent ham.

Just to let you know up here in Canada there is no Canadian bacon. It seems to be an American oddity in food naming. This is from wiki

The term “Canadian bacon” is not used in Canada, where the product is generally known simply as “back bacon” while “bacon” alone refers to the same streaky pork belly bacon as in the United States.
