Hunting of deer was banned. They reproduced so fast the area was denuded, then came a massive die off of the deer and other animals in the North side.

It’s a precursor for gun control. If there is no hunting, there is no longer a need for rifles. The fishing one is interesting and I think it is a throwaway item, to be used to keep the hunting piece in place.
