We rescued a baby House Sparrow on our balcony yesterday who had fallen from the nest, almost featherless, and got itself wedged for hours in a place where the parents couldn’t reach it.
I haven’t had a sparrow in a while, so we took it.
After warming up and having a soft place to lie, it’s an angel - great eater, already loves me, and is going to grow up speaking pigeon, because the other bird in the room is jealous and rants the whole time I’m feeding this baby...

You have a good heart for God’s creatures. I tried to save a nestling once when I was a kid. Of course, I didn’t know what I was doing and it died. Mom bought me a parakeet, and I had much better luck with it.
