PORTLAND (WGME) -- Eight Mainers have died with COVID-19 after being fully vaccinated, according to the Maine CDC.
While it's a rare occurrence, it can leave families in shock and heartbroken.
Eager and ready for normalcy, Arthur Mitchell got his second dose of the Moderna vaccine on March 8.
“Counted out his two weeks to be fully vaccinated, was very excited about that,” daughter Margaret Staggs said.
Staggs says once the family was fully vaccinated, they finally relaxed after a year of restrictions.
“We probably all took a deep breath and let our guard down a little bit,” Staggs said.
About four weeks later, Staggs, her husband and her father all tested positive for COVID-19.

Hmmm… one must wonder how many Mainers have died with COVID-19 after NOT being fully vaccinated. You know, the “not vaccinated” people who are, in effect, the placebo control group.

so over 840+/- Mainers died from covid, 8 of which after they were fully vaccinated, so 100X more people who were not vaccinated than those that were vaccinated.
Simple math says odds favor getting vaccinated if you want to avoid dying.

In some cases they were/did. The logistics were tough for many small dr’s offices - the need to keep people physically seperated, the need to keep people for 15 minutes after the shot to make sure there were no after effects (immediate after effects anyway), plus several of the freezers required super cold freezers to store the vaccines AND the fact that most needed to be done in groups of 10 or 11 (once you open a dose, you need to use all the doses very soon) made the logistics very difficult for a typical small site.
Thats why stadium’s/shopping malls, gymnasiums etc with lots of space, and lots of parking and the ability to use one huge vaccine freezer definitely made those places able to handle high volumes.

Let’s talk statistics. Statistically, the obese are among the most susceptible to this. Rather than encourage diet and exercise, the “experts” shut down gyms, locked people in their homes, and are now giving away donuts and beer to take the shots. That strikes you as all ‘Sciency’ and such?
