Pretty much. Still got around 20k in the hospital. Gonna take a while to sort 'em out.
Somewhat. Upticks last few days vs prior week, but this data should be ignored because of redefinitions and states ending reporting.
Excess Deaths more meaningful and they don’t really look much different from June last year.
The bad news is this level is about where things were just before the LEGAL immigration from Mexico beginning late June on tourist visas. They came to Texas and Arizona, went to the hospitals there to die. No restrictions then.
Can’t blame them. The Mexican hospitals were saturated.
Regardless, levels are where they were last June. This numerical reality becomes uncomfortable if the upticks hold.
It seems the death numbers are more of a lagging indicator, reflective of earlier, higher infection numbers.
