David Bowie
Oasis
Prince
Elton John, he never really got on with the ‘Your Song’ singer, “An old bitch… his writing is limited to songs about dead blondes,” Richards once said of the Rocketman without so much as a second thought.
Led Zeppelin, “The guy’s voice started to get on my nerves. I don’t know why; maybe he’s a little too acrobatic.”
Metallica

thank you...
Hahahahahahahahaha
She looked awesome playing the drums.
She had a nice bounce to her step.
If you notice one other thing about that picture of her. Not ONE tattoo in sight.
The stones had Satanism going on?any examples? I didn’t recall any, but then again never listened intently to his songs
There is a special circle of Hell of Hatred I have for Roger Waters.
I was enticed to go see him in concert once with a large group of friends, and I was subjected to a couple of hours of multi-media pro-Palestinian and anti-American propaganda, replete with his harangues.
I steamed until I could take it no more and went out to the car.
Haven’t been able to even listen to Pink Floyd since then, who used to have music I really enjoyed.
It’s kind of an inside joke...:)
I’ve been listening to Oasis again lately. I miss those guys.
Noel has some of my favorite obnoxious rock ‘n roll quotes of all time.
Oasis won an award and some interviewer asked Noel if he was happy... He responded with, “Am I happy? Listen, I’ve got 87M pounds in the bank, 3 stalkers, a brown Rolls Royce, I’m on the board in Manchester City, and I’m in the greatest rock ‘n roll band in the world. Am I happy? No I’m not, I want more!
“Page was the best thing about Zeppelin”
Jimmy Page lead breaks were rather simple. It was described to me thusly... trick 1, trick 2, trick 3, trick 2 (7 times), power chord, back to trick 1, then repeat the hook.
Page was a good hook mechanic tho.
Bonham was the drummer Zep needed
JPJ’s bass work and other instrumentation was delivered as only a seasoned studio musician could.
Plant had his moments.
Bowie... was okay
Elton... the yellow brick road release kicked some serious butt.
Richards was always gabby...
I’ve seen the Stones twice, personally I think they suck live.
I’ve been listening a lot to Noel Gallagher (and the High Flying Birds). Half his songs are OK, and half are fantastic, I’ll play them over and over again.
That’s a percentage of “wins” in my book that hasn’t been replicated since I was a teen and young adult in the 80s and 90s.
mick jagger lived like 12 mi from me in lone oak tx, he was not a country boy.
keef would fit right in at greenville vfw post 4011
Metallica, so what is special about playing a guitar in hyper electric mode.
Prince, total pop.
Elton and Bowie total icons of the 70's.
Zep one of the best bands of all time, Keith's jealousy is blaring.
I get a lot of gruff on FR about this, but I think Zep's "Stairway to Heaven" is about a woman trying to escape the iron curtain.
Listen to the lyrics.
Prince’s music was obnoxious, at least when I hear it now, when it was charting I did like and play it just like most teens in the area. There’s three Bowie songs I enjoy. China girl, Let’s dance, and I forget the other one lol. I can’t recall any band where I liked ALL their stuff.
Sympathy for the Devil, for starters.
I hate the Rolling Stones. Always have.
Jagger? Can’t make a saint out of him. But maybe deep down he knows that it isn’t true. He’s just resisting.
The Rolling Stones raised money for the World Health Organization. Have you all forgotten that? They have sympathy for the Chinese devil.

Price was an underappreciated yet multi talented Musician and Performer.
He rehearsed every move and worked hard to master the Guitar and the other Instruments he played. He was also a dapper dude.
I LOVE this Video. Prince owned that Stage when all was said and done. IMHO the rest of the Performers up there ended up just being his Band.
The look on George’s Son’s face when Prince took over the Set still cracks me up.
I wonder if there’s a way to synthesis Richard’s blood to find out what keeps him alive.
Cocaine, heroin, weed, Jack Daniels and Marlboro in bodacious quantities doesn’t keep a guy alive for 74 years.
Gotta be something else...
