Oasis won an award and some interviewer asked Noel if he was happy... He responded with, “Am I happy? Listen, I’ve got 87M pounds in the bank, 3 stalkers, a brown Rolls Royce, I’m on the board in Manchester City, and I’m in the greatest rock ‘n roll band in the world. Am I happy? No I’m not, I want more!
I’ve been listening a lot to Noel Gallagher (and the High Flying Birds). Half his songs are OK, and half are fantastic, I’ll play them over and over again.
That’s a percentage of “wins” in my book that hasn’t been replicated since I was a teen and young adult in the 80s and 90s.
