I had a comment that was removed (I think it was considered taking liberties with the 300 word excerpt limit...fair enough) that highlighted Jane's point, how the writer's syntax revealed her bias...the her friends were all "normal" but her sister's friends were "conspiracy theorists" and freaks etc.

Grampa Dave wrote that little of the state governments' actions during the pandemic was about safety, but about control.

Similarly, on some level, I suspect some dimension of the CDC et al's vaccine messaging is not about statistics and merits and "science," but about the sanctioning of shaming.

While I'm happy this article's writer and sister are in a 'happy place' I fear their story is in the minority. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.
