Democrat Melanie Stansbury defeated her Republican opponent Mark Moores in the special election to represent New Mexico's 1st congressional district, a House seat vacated when Deb Haaland was confirmed as President Biden's Interior secretary, per AP. Why it matters: Stansbury's victory Tuesday night will grow Democrats' thin majority in the House to nine seats.

Not according to the Sec of State official count. A count that has been going on for two hours with no updates. Only 2.2% of the vote in so far.
If it was a blowout the could call that easily, we would see some numbers by now.
So far around 100,000 votes cast. And they are being counted in several counties. There isn’t so many that the results should be so slow.
GOP will close in because they work.Democrats don’t so they vote all day.

It’s weird. All the news channels in Albuquerque and AP are calling for her. But actual hard numbers and percentages reporting are nowhere. Sec of State site has 2.2% reporting. At least that’s what I’m seeing.
This is sketchy.
Be patient, it takes time for the Dems to cheat.
All I know is that when they have a slam dunk, we get results fast. This is a small area, and we are closing in on 3 hours after with almost no official numbers.

Bernalillo County has been stealing elections for democrats long before Dominion ran the first ballot through its first machine.
I have absolutely no doubt that they will steal this one too, but yeah, there is only 6% results in, and the Republican seems to be closing the gap, so to call the election already, is either ridiculous, or just knowing that the fix is in, as usual

Democrat will likely match Biden’s margin. I guess open borders are fine with New Mexicans.
Not good, but it was Secretary of the Interior Haaland’s seat, so it’s not one that was flipped.
