I spent this weekend in New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Connecticut. All three states no longer have the "mask mandate" but leave it up to the businesses.

Most stores have signs asking to "please wear a mask" but I have not done so. Nobody has hassled me about it anywhere. Further, I would say more than half the customers are not wearing them at this point and even some of the employees - which is refreshing.

You do have your scaredy-cats that have them on constantly. I don't know what they are more afraid of - the disease or that they might be mistaken for a freedom-loving conservative.

I found the same thing you found in the Northeast. I went to a Whole Foods (don't hate me) and the employees were masked up but 10% of the citizens were freed. ALL of the maskless citizenry were middle-aged folks...the young ones were ALL brainwashed, erm, masked up.

Nobody gave me a hard time...fellow citizens, employees, nobody. My guess (based on an exchange I had with a masked worker at a different store) is management is keeping employees muzzled not for virtue-signaling, but to proetrct them against Karen the Customer demanding to see their Vaxx bona fides etc.

How come you didn't come visit me?

Masks have been optional up here for quite a while. Vermonters are sick and tired of being old what to do.
