Well, I shaved off my beard and cut my hair, so I don’t look like I’ve been living under a freeway overpass anymore. It kinda freaked out a couple of the cats at first and they had to come sniff me to verify my ID. Been more or less staying inside the last couple of weeks. I think my blood counts are off - been as lethargic as a koala bear lately. Hopefully I just need a lube and oil change. Went to the Ren Fest two weeks ago, and true to form, it ended up a comedy of errors. People have been so cooped up for so long, we hit a 45 minute traffic backup getting onto the festival grounds. I made it to the pub crawl staging area with barely fifteen minutes to spare. We each got issued one of last year’s stainless beer steins, which was a bummer, because I’d already bought one online at a discount since they went unused after the 2020 fest was cancelled. I got to two taverns, veered away from my group to use the privy, and lost them after that. (At least the beer was cold.) It was so hot, I just sat under a tree for two hours until Connie and the grandson found me. I forgot my cell phone and she had it in her bag. Didn’t get any food except a cold soft pretzel, dang it. I had a menu picked out, too. At least they were entertained. The weather finally cooled off and we got some sorely needed rain, but Vision, feel free to FedEx some of that ‘back home’ weather down here. I got out for several hours Thursday (we needed groceries badly), but my legs feel like boiled linguini. Tomorrow we’ll cook out - just Italian sausage meatballs and red sauce this evening. I need to uncover The Meat Machine and see how much cleaning and service it’ll need before I do ribs. While I do that, I have several more blueberry bushes to plant (she dug the holes and moved her infernal rose bushes, finally), and there are plenty of Roma tomatoes, bell peppers, and squash to be containered. Muscadine grapes, too - I think I finally hit the magic threshold and have some long, beautiful vines now. She got back-to-back days off, but the pool is still a work in progress. With all of these supply shortages, it’s hard to find pool chemicals. Walmart was only allowing one bottle of bleach per customer, and flocculent, algaecide, conditioner, and everything else is available online only. The last pool company we called had eighty customers ahead of us and said to call back in April 2022. LOL At this rate, I might not be able to get in it until August. And, that’s the news from the Viking Lodge here in East Alabamastan for Memorial Day weekend, 2021. Hope your weekend is flowing along like a mountain stream. Which I’d like to be fishing in right now. I’m afraid to tune in tonight because I’m sure Murray will say something that’ll raise my blood pressure. Pinko bastard.

Well, it's been cold and wet here the last few days and hope to get back to the 70’s tomorrow. You're seem to plan blueberry bushes a lot, are you able to harvest them?

I’ll say that I bet you look much better with a shave and a haircut. That’s just me, though. I like clean faces and short hair. :-D
