I’ve done fasting where you’re on liquids for a week or two.I did a 10 day fast, where I was on Demerol every 4 hours...but it did work to break my cigarette habit.

Hah.
I fasted for 16 days- only water and black tea- and sailed right through it. The only reason I broke my fast was to eat with family who were in town. I could have kept going without flinching.
