The Washington Post is accountable for whatever appears in its pages.

The ACLU, on the other hand, should not be liable for the actions of employees/associates/volunteers doing unauthorized stuff on behalf of a woman not officially part of its organization, in my opinion.

Even when the party they were helping was associated with them and promised them money from the divorce settlement?

This seems rather twisted in the ethics department to me.

Your opinion is just that, your opinion. It is highly likely that an act of agency existed between the corporate body and it’s employees.
