Greetings from soggy and cool southern New Hampshire!

I had a really nice summer workshop set up, under a 10’ by 20’ canopy, until a violent storm/micro cell blasted through on Wednesday and upended and twisted the canopy. I am in the middle of breaking down pallets and making panels for raised beds. I hope to get back at it in the next couple of days.

Household Six has advised me that finally, the vegetable garden will be planted, this coming week, which means, I will finally be able to clean the back deck.

My goal this next week, in addition to supporting HH-6, is to make the panels for four 52” by 104” raised beds to replace the existing pairs of 4’ by 4’ raised beds. These new raised beds will be 16” tall, plus 2 by 4 trim on top. To do this, I am scavenging and breaking up pallets for the wood. An interesting project. I have a pallet breaker and a pneumatic nail punch to speed the process.

Lots of compost to move...thank goodness for a John Deere 318 with loader!

R.D. Was that a Shelter Logic canopy? Northern tool has one on sale for $119 until July 31st. I was thinking of buying one and NOT using the cover, instead using the frame and purchasing bird netting over the entire frame.

Go to the purchaser comments. One of them has some suggestions on how to make it more stable in stormy weather.

ShelterLogic MaxAP Outdoor Canopy Tent — 20ft. x 10ft., 6-Leg, Model# 25757
