Time for a Coalition of Free American States

I want to make a suggestion. It is past time for some type of "coalition of free American states."

States have a long history of creating partnerships with each other. Law enforcement task forces, farming cooperatives, river management boards, and collegiate sports conferences all benefit individual states through regional collaborations and are common throughout the United States. It is also common for state attorneys general to coordinate lawsuits against the federal government. Republican governors and Democrat governors meet at party retreats to strategize how best to advance their respective parties' interests. And innumerable lobbying and legal groups work every year to promote the passage of nearly identical statutory language in state legislatures across the country.

What I have in mind is more substantial — the formation of a coalition of free states whose explicit purpose is to reduce the power of the federal government over individual states and their citizens while banding together to lessen the inevitable retaliatory blows the federal government will initiate against the states in response.

Although America's constitutional form of limited government was designed specifically to maximize the liberty of citizens and maximize the power of states at the expense of the federal government, the accumulation of power has flowed only in one direction — away from individual states and individual citizens and toward the national government in D.C. This phenomenon is so natural throughout history that it was a chief concern of the Founding Fathers themselves. Thomas Jefferson, a shrewd student of human nature, was blunt: "Experience hath shewn [sic], that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny."

Let's be honest: the federal government hasn't looked in tip-top shape for a long time, and now it's a train wreck ...

And when these free states, such as Florida, enter into such a compact, Congress will suddenly and conveniently remember its Constitutional duty to approve or disapprove such a compact. In recent times, it seems that Congress has implicitly approved interstate compacts such as RGGI by sitting on its ass.

But now, all of a sudden, it will be probing this compact with a microscope and an alien anal probe and ultimately casting a vote of disapproval, which will hopefully BE IGNORED by the free states.

It doesn’t matter. As far as I know, the reason we have both a Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative for the northeastern and Mid-Atlantic states and a National Popular Vote compact is because Congress implicitly approved both these questionable initiatives by sitting on its ass.

And also, as far as I know, Congress did nothing to review the compact inked between California (under Schwarzengger) and 1 or 2 Canadian provinces to try to curb global warming.

But watch Congress with this pro-freedom interstate compact. Suddenly, they’ll be all up in our grills, so to speak.

Maryland, Delaware, New York, Massachusetts?

No, that would be the parallel Soviet compact.

That's unlikely to happen. Control of states varies from election to election and can be divided between governors and the legislatures. That's a sign in itself that states aren't as homogeneous and single-minded as the plan assumes.

What happens to conferences like this is that the hardliners and those who aren't as hardline don't get along and each pull in their own direction. People who show up thinking they are on board with the program are turned off by those they think too extreme and the meeting breaks down.

The United States, like old cheese, is beginning to rot around the edges..

Why.?? That's the big question we need to find the answer to.. I personally think it's because of foreign interference into our educational system.. The commies have taken our children away from us.

Could it just that simple.?? I sure believe it could.. Massive numbers of young folks come out of our universities and go into government service every year.. And our Collage's and Universities are awash it communist activity.. Most of which probably comes from the foreign professors.. Hate and discontent is their primarily subject.. Slander against our Constitution, our history and our way of life is their message..

Lets not forget that a good portion of the communist organization ANTFA is made up of teachers. Educated and trained right here in the good old USA.... :(
