The vaccine series is 95% effective at preventing serious disease from Covid-19. That means that there are people who still get Covid-19 and can die after the full series.

Your chance of getting Covid-19 if exposed and you are not vaccinated is 100%. Your chance of dying from it are 1.8%. Compare that to your 5% chance of catching it if you are vaccinated, and your 1.2% chance of dying from Covid-19 if you catch it and are vaccinated.

I swear, anti-vax hooey absolutely depends on people being scientifically and mathematically illiterate. Why do people keep falling for it?

Sort of the same thinking as not wearing a seat belt to make getting out of a crashed vehicle easier.

Peer-reviewed research from @TheLancet
shows that the experimental vaccines reduce your chance of catching COVID-19 by:
Pfizer: 0.8%
Johnson & J: 1.2%
Moderna: 1.2%
AstraZeneca: 1.3%
So, basically NO prevention. no immunity. No antibodies produced

"The vaccine series is 95% effective at preventing serious disease from Covid-19"
That report 95% effective originated from December of last year when they used 16-to 25-year age group. They dosage was also less than the standard dose today.
Which is the same test group as the statistics above. from this report

What You Should Know About the Possibility of COVID-19 Illness After Vaccination

COVID-19 vaccines are effective. However, a small percentage of people who are fully vaccinated will still get COVID-19 if they are exposed to the virus that causes it. These are called “vaccine breakthrough cases.” This means that while people who have been vaccinated are much less likely to get sick, it may still happen. Experts continue to study how common these cases are.

Covid never rose to the level of needing a rushed traditional vaccine, much less an experimental one.

It seems there are those of us who believe a vaccine is this:

1. any preparation of weakened or killed bacteria or viruses introduced into the body to prevent a disease by stimulating antibodies against it.
2. the virus of cowpox, used in vaccination, obtained from pox vesicles of a cow or person.
3. a software program that helps to protect against computer viruses.

While others believe this:

: a preparation that is administered (as by injection) to stimulate the body’s immune response against a specific infectious disease:
a : an antigenic preparation of a typically inactivated or attenuated (see attenuated sense 2) pathogenic agent (such as a bacterium or virus) or one of its components or products (such as a protein or toxin)
b : a preparation of genetic material (such as a strand of synthesized messenger RNA) that is used by the cells of the body to produce an antigenic substance (such as a fragment of virus spike protein)

You know how you can tell something isn’t what they say it is? When they have to change the dictionary to convince you of it.

Your chance of getting Covid-19 if exposed and you are not vaccinated is 100%. Your chance of dying from it are 1.8%.

The 1.8% is derived from known cases. There are millions of people walking around who had Covid and didn't even know it or didn't get tested. The Red Cross found 20% of the blood supply in non-vaccinated donors had the antibodies.

—> Your chance of getting Covid-19 if exposed and you are not vaccinated is 100%

If this is a true statement…

1. Why did less than 20% of passengers trapped on the Diamond Princess cruise ship get covid, instead of 100%?

2. Why haven’t we read of any country where more than 20% of the population became ill?

[if you know of a country, please share it. I’ve looked and can’t find one yet]

I’m guessing there is widespread (at least partial) immunity exists, which is perfected by exposure to the real virus.
