Conservative pundits Clay Travis and Buck Sexton will soon take over Rush Limbaugh’s radio timeslot, the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday.
“The duo will serve up similar right-wing fare, tackling news stories of the day, politics and current events, peppered with call-ins from listeners and humor,” the Journal reported.
“We’re not going to replace Rush Limbaugh, we’re going to have an evolution of the show with fresh voices – those that grew up on Rush and admired him,” president of iHeart Media’s Premiere Networks Julie Talbott said, according to the Journal.
Travis is the founder of conservative sports website Outkick, which was recently acquired by Fox News.
“No one ever replaces a legend, and Rush Limbaugh is the most influential and listened to radio voice across multiple generations,” Travis said in a post on OutKick. “But the battles Rush fought aren’t ending. If anything, they’re just becoming more intense. And I think intense and rigorous and intelligent debate has never been more important in this country than it is right now.”
Sexton is a former CIA intelligence officer-turned-conservative commentator, podcaster, and radio host. He also hosts a nightly show on conservative digital platform The First.
“Needless to say, I could not be more excited, @ClayTravis and I are going to do a great show together. Get ready for it,” Sexton posted on Twitter, along with an American flag emoji.
Since Limbaugh’s death in February, Premiere Networks has been airing reruns of segments of Limbaugh’s show in the noon to 3 p.m. timeslot, with guest host commentary between clips.

excerpt from your link on horowitz:
“From 1956 to 1975, Horowitz was an outspoken adherent of the New Left. He later rejected progressive ideas and became a defender of neoconservatism.[2] Horowitz recounted his ideological journey in a series of retrospective books, culminating with his 1996 memoir Radical Son: A Generational Odyssey.”

funny how many of the “far left” hippies from the 60’s & 70’s still hold the same contempt & distrust of big gummit intrusion & spying today as they did back in the day........but now they’ve been labled as conservative right wingers.
Chris Plante is the best show today, IMHO.
Bongino has been good for just starting out and he took over some large markets from Rush like Dallas Fort Worth. I’ll check these new guys out too at some point.
So did Condi Rice
Should be.
InsideRadio in March:
“To fill the hole on many of its conservative news/talk stations left by the death of Rush Limbaugh, Cumulus Media late Wednesday announced Westwood One will launch a new show hosted by Dan Bongino, weekdays from 12-3pm. The news and opinion show will clear on Cumulus stations in top-ten markets starting May 24, including KABC Los Angeles, WLS Chicago, WBAP Dallas, KSFO San Francisco and WMAL Washington, DC.”
Mark Stein was the only Guest host I listened to
He was a red diaper baby raised by communists
I’ll stick with Dan Bongino. Clay is no conservative.
Steve Deace on Blaze is better than any Rush guest host other than Steyn. When Rush was out, I went there at noon eastern and never went back for the 2nd tier fill ins.
Buck is good and I will give him a shot, but Steve Deace does issues and brings facts doesn’t get bogged down by callers. If you actually live it, you don’t need callers.
Will it still be called “The Rush Limbaugh Show”, as it is now, but with them as new, permanent hosts?
The thing is, he actually did provide equal time. He would play their comments and respond. We heard more of what the Left had to say and what they were up to on his show than any single audience heard them before, most likely.
I have heard the name “Buck Sexton” many times - pretty sure he has been a sub host multiple times for some shows I’ve listen to...perhaps even Rush’s.
Agreed. He is so prepared, and funny. He packs so much into three hours
I listen to him and Mark Levin. That’s it.
Our local station has The Dan Bongino Show taking Rush’s slot starting July 1st.
A local station out here fired a liberal co-host Brian Whitman in January and leaving the conservative one who then partnered with another conservative host. I hated hearing that guy, he was always promoting the democrat lie of the day while saying he was conservative. Like some of the Foxnews hosts.
I had stopped listening to the radio show several months ago as he had TDS. I took a listen the other day and found out he was gone : )
Yeah Bongino just blathers. Big let down. Though he would be mch better.
Never got into Buck Sexton when he subbed. Rather boring with him throwing in “When I worked for the CIA...” Never heard of Clay Travis.
Surprised James Golden doesn’t take the reigns. That voice is truly Golden! Like a conservative Barry White with just a hint of an Arbys commercial.
That is the only option, IMHO, to save the EIB. He is smart and funny. And if you don't listen, you are a racist.
Currently the best news/information show by far. Nothing comes close.
I believe and I hope they will succeed. I hear Buck Sexton on WFLA at 9 and he is good. Granted, I don’t listen as I do in the daytime, but I think they’ll be good. Replacing Rush is like replacing Bear Bryant or Vince Lombardi, you you know who replaced them?
Sexton is a straight shooter not part of the SWAMP!!!
