India YouTuber arrested for 'flying' dog with helium balloons

Indian police have arrested a YouTuber for tying helium balloons to his pet dog "in an attempt to make it fly".
Gaurav Sharma, 32, shot a video showing his dog attached to balloons, which he then lets go off as the pet starts to fly in the air.
A few seconds later, someone in the balcony of the second floor of a building catches the dog.
Mr Sharma said he followed all safety measures, but deleted the video after social media backlash.

Flying a dog with balloons... Talk about a cartoon trope. I'm surprised he's not ordering Acme products for the dog. (rolls eyes)

There was a guy here a couple of decades ago that put his dog on one of those parasail rides at the beach.
Dog fell out and died.
Both he and the boat operator were charged.............

Yeah, dogs enjoy being completely helpless and falling from the sky. That's why they put muzzles on them when they jump with paratroopers: They are enjoying themselves so much they'd otherwise bite their trainer's face off.

Yeah, maybe so. I’m just riffing on the fact that dogs are usually up for a good time. I saw a video the other day where someone had put a drone launchpad “hat” on their dog’s head. The dog seemed fine with it. My thought was, “You couldn’t do that with a cat.”
