For more detail go to the link and click on the image for a high definition image. You can then move the magnifying glass cursor then click to zoom in and click again to zoom out. When zoomed in you can scan by moving the side bars on the bottom and right side of the image.

I live in the middle of the Pacific ocean.
There is almost no light pollution.
I’ve seen it atop Mauna Kea, at my home, and in between.
The Milky way doesn’t look like that!
Must be for you city people that rarely if ever see 1/10 of what I do on a clear night, naked eye. That they use time exposures and filters, is to get you to contribute to Astronomical “stuff”. Foolish people.
Full disclosure I retired from working at a world class observatory, so I know how the system works.
